Well and reservoir

Teaching: The Well and Reservoir Group provides instruction in drilling, oil, gas, and water separation, as well as the operation and maintenance of wells and production equipment. Students gain knowledge about fluid and gas flow in reservoirs and strategies for optimal utilization. The group emphasizes experimental work, the development of subsea technologies, optimization of subsea facilities, and the digitalization and automation of drilling and production systems, including numerical modeling, AI, and machine learning.

Research: We contribute expertise to industry and society for cost-effective exploration and extraction with a low carbon footprint. Our research includes zero-emission initiatives in the oil and gas industry, energy storage, CO₂ transport and injection, material selection, and well plugging during field decommissioning.

Sustainability: The group supports improved drilling and production performance, enhanced recovery, and CO₂ storage.
