Terms of use

By using our services you accept our terms of use:

Carrying out the analysis

You can have the analysis performed by core personnel or you can use the instruments yourself, provided you are a licensed user (training to become a licensed user will include the hourly fee of the instrument).

iLab

(we are currently switching to a different solution)

To use the services and equipment at Proteomics and Modomics Experimental Core Facility (PROMEC), you need to book the instrument/service. Links to the booking page and the registration page are available at the bottom of our front page.

Even when core facility personnel performs all aspects of the request, we still need the patron to be registered in iLab to be invoiced.

Co-authorship

If highly qualified technical personnel or scientific personnel contribute with their scientific knowledge to solve the scientific questions, they should be co-authors according to the "ICMJE Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals concerning Authorship and Contributor ship". However, use of instruments and assisted use of instruments in well-known methods and performed by technical staff, is not enough to require co-authorship.

In case of co-authorship our affiliations are:
Proteomics and Modomics Experimental Core Facility (PROMEC), NTNU, Norway
Central Administration, St Olavs Hospital, The University Hospital in Trondheim, Norway

Acknowledgements

Mass spectrometry-based analyses were performed by the Proteomics and Modomics Experimental Core (PROMEC), Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and The Central Norway Regional Health Authority. This facility is a member of the National Network of Advanced Proteomics Infrastructure (NAPI), which is funded by the Research Council of Norway INFRASTRUKTUR-program (project number: 295910). Data storage and handling is supported under the NIRD/Notur project NN9036K.
