Music, Knowledge and Responsibility

The R&D work at the Department of Music encompasses scientific research, artistic research, and diciplinary-pedagogical development. In a time marked by polarization, fragmentation, and marginalization, our R&D-work aims to foster dialogue, bridge gaps, encourage critical reflection, promote democratic participation and social responsibility.

Our R&D groups, projects, PhD candidates, and postdoctoral researchers are in various ways connected to the department’s study programs in musicology, music technology, music performance, music and health, and music education.
