Organised research training (PhD)

 

Department of Physics offers PhD studies in all of its research areas. There are also opportunities for writing a PhD Thesis in cooperation with other departments and the industry. Both an MSc in Physics and an MSc in Technology in Applied Physics and Mathematics qualifies for a PhD programme in Physics.

Department of Physics offers two PhD programmes

 

PhD programme in Physics (PHFY)

The PhD-program in physics provides an education within experimental and theoretical physics and aims at giving the candidates a broad professional background in physics. The student can focus the program towards a variety of topics based on ongoing research activities at Department of Physics.

PhD programme in Biophysics (PHBIFY)

The PhD programme in Biophysics and Medical technology provides research training and education in experimental and theoretical biophysics, medical physics and medical technology.
