New student at NTNU: Live show
Prepare for the matriculation ceremony by watching the students' live show at 11.30 p.m.

Place: room P1 at Petroleumsteknisk senter
- We watch the matriculation ceremony (NTNUs welcoming ceremony) together
- Welcome from the programme coordinator, academic staff and the industry
- Meet the student organisation Bergstuderendes forening and the Departments student ambassadors
- Lunch and mingling
Join the Buddy week to meet new friends from the first day of studies! All new students can participate.
Bergstuderendes forening organises Buddy week for the Petroleum Engineering and Petroleum Geosciences students.
As a new student at Petroleum Engineering and Petroleum Geosciences you will get a student mentor the first semester of your studies. The student mentor is a student from your study programme who will share their experience and assist you if you have any queries.
The student mentor will arrange social gatherings and give practical information in smaller groups that you are part of automatically.
You will be contacted by your student mentor after the start of your semester.
During the Orientation week, you will get to know NTNU, your city and other international students in fun ways, and learn everything you need to know to get started in Norway and settle in at NTNU. The Office of International Relations arranges the orientation week.
Many different student organizations will be present on campus to showcase the variety of activities, causes and organizations you can engage with at NTNU.
Representatives from certain services at NTNU and Sit, such as the Office of International Relations, will also be present.

NTNU has various part-time classes to help you learn Norwegian as a second language, including a free online course.
Exchange students can join a 3-week intensive summer course in August.
