In your third semester you can do an exchange semester abroad. The department has agreements with universities in Europe, Asia, Australia and the USA. 

Why study abroad? 
Taking a semester abroad has several benefits:

  • You get to know a new country and its language and culture.
  • You gain new perspectives into many aspects of your life, including your studies.
  • You have the opportunity to study courses we may not have in NTNU.
  • You show that you are independent, can take the initiative and that you are open to new experiences – all excellent qualities for the workplace of today.

Gründerskolen

Would you like to spend the summer in a thriving entrepreneurial city while taking entrepreneurship classes and working in a start-up company? 

The MSc program collaborates with Gründerskolen (The Norwegian School of Entrepreneurship) on an award winning work-study summer program for MSc students in Norway. The core part of the program consists of 10 weeks spent abroad – either in San Francisco, Boston or Toronto. During the program, you will attend classes at one of the partner universities and work in innovative and tech-driven startups. This gives you the opportunity learn about entrepreneurship and business development in some of the world’s leading innovative environments. 

The summer program is worth 25 ECTS, of which 15 ECTS can be approved as an elective at NTNU.
