Cell and Organismal Biology

A man taking out an arctic fox from a bag

The Cell and Organismal Biology (COB) section encompasses research groups that cover a variety of biological systems, from molecules and cells to organisms and ecosystems. With a focus on both basic and applied science, we investigate mechanisms and interactions within molecular and cellular biology, animal and plant physiology, and environmental toxicology.

Animal Physiology Terminology

Animal Physiology Terminology

People from several Norwegian institutions, including NTNU, have developed a database with animal physiology terminology. The terms are available in Norwegian Bokmål, Norwegian Nynorsk, English and Latin, as well as definitions in Norwegian Bokmål and terms for use in outreach (change language in the upper right corner).
