Burden of headache in the African Region

Global Campaign against Headache

Burden of headache in the African Region

Africa is large and diverse. Little has been known until recently of the burden of headache anywhere in this Region. Population-based studies are needed in at least one each of the countries in East, West and South sub-Saharan Africa.

An epidemiological study has been completed and is in analysis in Zambia, another is underway in Ethiopia and a third is being considered in Senegal.
