The aim of the ICSE Academy is to strengthen science teaching within STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) in schools and teacher training. The project is led by the science section at the Institute for Teacher Education (ILU), NTNU. Together with universities and schools in 12 other European countries, they will offer exchanges, summer schools, workshop series and local professional development. In order to facilitate professional STEM teacher development, support will be given to schools through cooperation and dialogue with the schools, based on the schools' wishes and needs

In the project period from summer 2022 to summer 2025, the team at ILU will support STEM teachers at 5 secondary schools in Trøndelag, so that they can try out new ways of teaching STEM. In addition, they will coordinate cooperation and exchange with teachers from all over Europe.
