Tips for writing specialization and master thesis

Tips for writing specialization and master thesis

Master students specializing in RAMS will write two thesis reports in their last year of study:

  • Specialization project report (15 credit points)
  • Master thesis (30 credit points)

In the start-up of the semester, the RAMS group gives a small seminar where we give advice on how to plan and write these reports. The presentations given are:

  • About writing a scientifc report
  • About templates and prestudy report

For those students that want to write their report in latex, they may use the following zip-file as basis. A pdf-version of report structure with more tips (also found inside zip file) is here, and the structure may transferred to e.g. Microsoft Word.

It is also recommended to review the following pages:

  • Writing guide (do's and dont's)
  • Latex installation and hints
  • Finding literature
