Course content

The course runs every semester when necessary.
The course will cover topics in biology, which are of special interest for the students taking our PhD degree. Topics from different areas of biology relevant for the students will be presented, discussed and analysed, using recent scientific literature. The content of the course for each semester will be approved by the PhD programråde of the Institute for Biology.

Have an updated , research based knowledge centered around a specialiced topic supporting the doctoral thesis.

SKILLS AQUIRED

Have a broad experinece in presentation of research based primary litterature.
Have a broad experience in discussion and analyzing novel research results.

GENERAL COMPETENCE

The candidate has broad experience in presentation and interpret primary research results.

Learning methods and activities

Evaluation: Take place as a written exam and a presentation of 20-30 minutes length on a prescribed subject / scientific publication. Grading scale: letters on a scale from A-E.
