Orientation Week - programme first week of studies, 11th-15th August

Orientation Week - programme first week of studies, 11th-15th August

Monday, 11th August:

10.00-12.00 Welcome to the Art Academy (KiT) at NTNU

Location: Industribygget, rom 240

Joint gathering for new students at the Art Academy. Meet your fellow students and experience your first day as a student together with new friends.
Head of Department Jacob Jessen and staff at KiT welcome you.
The student association KiT will introduce themselves and the program for the buddy weeks.

13.00-14.00

Walk from KiT (campus Solsiden) to the Gløshaugen campus together with the student association.

14.00-15:00 - Matriculation ceremony – welcome ceremony for new students at NTNU 

Location: Campus Gløshaugen, behind the main building.

Together with the student association, you will participate in this solemn ceremony, which lasts about 1 hour. There will be cultural performances, speeches, a parade, and you will get an insight into life as a student at NTNU.

18.00-23:00

Location: Campus Solsiden

Tuesday 12th August

Student Volunteer Day - The Student association at KiT (program will be handed out Monday)

Wednesday 13th August

09.00-10.30 Introductions to KiT and key cards

Location: Art Academy Library, Campus Solsiden

Morning coffee with our librarian Gustav Svihus Borgersen and study advisors.
Tour of KiT, and assigned access cards and given access to studio areas

11.00-13.00

Location: Campus Gløshaugen

Orientation meetings at Campus Gløshaugen for international students.

14.00-15:00 Meeting with the course responsible.

Location: Campus Solsiden.

 

17:00-23:00 Student association KiT: Movie night

Join buddy week from 12th of August

Join buddy week from 12th of August

As a student at KiT, you will meet your buddies on your first day (August 11) at NTNU. You will then be given a program for the sponsor weeks.

You can also join Buddy week kick-off hosted by Studentersamfundet and get a social start to your studies! All new students can participate. There will be stands from various organizations, a stage with shows, a food area with free food and a seating area with benches and tables. This will be a big and fun celebration of student volunteering and everything it has to offer.

Time: 14:00-17.00

During the Orientation week, you will get to know NTNU, your city and other international students in fun ways, and learn everything you need to know to get started in Norway and settle in at NTNU. The Office of International Relations arranges the orientation week.
