Student Exchange

The Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS) group are involved in the following international collaborations, which can provide student exchange opportunities for you as RAMS master's degree student.

INTPART BN on Subsea Operations

Project period: 2017 - 2019. Bilateral collaboration with Brazilian Universities.

Collaboration on reliability and maintenance modelling and analysis. Funded by the Norwegian Research Council and headed by the Department for Petroleum Engineering and Applied Geophysics.


Norway-South Korea Consortium for Arctic Operations, a HIGH NORTH project

Project period: 2017 - 2019

The main goal of this project is to share the research results and experiences of the two partners, find common interested research topics, identify potential partners, and establish the foundation for future long-term collaborations in subsea operations in Arctic.

Main activities of the project include several joint seminars in Norway and Korea respectively, exchange PhD students (in each country), guest lectures and co-supervisions of master students are included in the project.

Partners of this project include Korean Marine and Ocean University, Korean Research Institute of Ship and Ocean (KRISO), Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Seoul National University, Korea Register, shipbuilding company Hyundai Heavy Industry (HHI).


Norway-China-Japan consortium for safe and efficient operations of Health 4.0, a UTFORSK program 

Project period: 2018 - 2021

This project aims to build a consortium of universities, hospitals and technology vendors in Norway, China and Japan, for education and research of safe and efficient operations of healthcare systems with Health 4.0 technologies.

Master students from the three countries will participate in mobility, by attending intensive courses and field visits.


Norway-Vietnam Industry and Infrastructure Safety Consortium, NORPART project 

Project period: 2017 - 2021

The goals of the project include:

  • increased collaboration between PhD students and researchers in NTNU and Vietnamese universities
  • improved education and research quality of participating Vietnamese universities
  • spread of safety-related technologies and standards from Norway in Vietnam

BRANORTECH – UTFORSK

Project period: 2017 - 2021

Project between Norway and Brazil in signal processing and communication. In this project, RAMS is a partner.
