Admission

- Eligibility

Candidates with BSc / BEng / BA degree, preferably in Urban Planning, Architecture or Civil Engineering may apply. Relevant work experience is also considered important for selection and admission. Applicants with a BA degree in Social Sciences (e.g. Geography/Economics/Statistics) may be considered if the candidate has 2-5 years of relevant work experience in Urban Planning. Candidates with only Bachelors degree are given priority over candidates with existing Masters degree during selection. Final year students of revelant Bachelors degree may apply.

English language requirements: TOEFL score: 500/170 or IELTS mark: 5.0


Admissions - Process

Admissions for international students are administratively carried out through the International Office of NTNU. All application materials and correspondence are to be sent to the International Office until admission is offered. Broad steps involved in admission process

  1. Online Preliminary Application (online submission)
  2. Intimation of results of Preliminary Application (emailed directly to applicant)
  3. Final Application (Detailed application requirements are emailed after preliminary selection. Generally, one is expected to submit completed final application form, detailed past educational transcripts, CV, Recommendation letters, English proficiency proofs, and a short Statement of Purpose)
  4. Final selection results and Offer of Admission at NTNU (sent by post and/or email)
  5. Arrival and Orientation Programme at NTNU
  6. Start of MSc Programme
