Quality Principles

Quality Principles

Campus development is not primarily about construction, but about how the development of physical infrastructure—together with organisational and technological development—enables NTNU to fulfil its societal mission.

The quality programme defines the campus qualities needed to help NTNU achieve its goals. The vision outlines the overarching aim of campus development.

The six principles describe the characteristics and qualities the campus must have to realise the vision. Each principle includes criteria that act as rules to ensure the campus achieves the defined qualities.

For each project phase, specific indicators will be developed to assess how well a solution meets the criteria.

The quality programme was approved by the NTNU Board on 26 October 2016 and applies to all campus development at NTNU: in all cities and at all stages.
