Concept's role

Concept's role

The quality assurance scheme must be continuously developed and improved in order to be a useful tool in the governance of public investments. The instructions and guidelines should always be based on the most recent research and represent best practice.

Norway’s Ministry of Finance needs information about the investment projects under the QA scheme as well as the effects of the scheme itself. Through our trailing research activities, we collect data from all projects that have undergone QA1 and/or QA2. Read more about our database here.

We also perform our own data collection for some projects, through participation in QA exercises, evaluations, meetings, etc. The data are used for research by Concept’s researchers and others.

Concept is nevertheless an independent research programme and not a part of the QA scheme.
