Exchange of experience and further development of the QA scheme

It is important to collect experiences relating to the quality assurance scheme for the scheme to be developed and improved.

After a QA exercise is completed and the report delivered, the Ministry of Finance will hold a meeting with the Ministry and the consultant concerned, to ensure that all relevant experience from the process has been elicited and collected. In addition, to ensure experience will be exchanged between sectors and consultants, the Ministry of Finance has established ‘the QA Forum’, which will hold meetings on a regular basis. In the QA Forum, representatives from ministries, agencies, consultants, and the Concept research programme come together to discuss common challenges, methodological as well as practical. They also discuss the need for further guidance and standardization of methods.

The Concept research programme is not part of the QA scheme itself but is still a key development partner for the participants in the QA scheme. Concept collects data from projects under QA, performs empirical studies based on these data, and develops theories and methods to assess and plan major investment projects. The QA Forum is a useful platform for Concept, both to present our work and to receive feedback.
