Reqirements for admission:
This programme is open to students who have either:
- completed three years of an engineering program
- completed one of the basic study programs at NTNU
- completed an engineering college ("ingeniørhøgskole") in Norway
- Have a similar education from outside Norway [equivalent to a bachelor degree, or 180 credits in the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS )]
Upon completing the master program, you receive the title "Master of Science in Engineering - Program in Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS)".

Applicants from outside Norway should especially note the admission and language requirements.
For international students (i.e., students not having a degree from one of the Nordic countries), the application deadline is December 1 (preliminary application) of the year before you will start your studies. Please refer to the admission requirements. The Office of International Relations screen the premilinary applications, and sends an application package to those who seem to qualify for the program. The final application deadline for those receiving the application package is February 1 the following year.
Applicants from developing countries or Central and Eastern Europe may apply to be considered for financial support under the Quota Scheme. Please read the information about addmission to see whether you are qualified to apply under the Quota Scheme. High priority in the admission and nomination for a seat under the Quota Scheme is given to candidates educated at some of NTNU's collaborating institutions.
The application deadline for students with a Norwegian or a Nordic degree is April 15, 2010. You should read the application information on NTNU's web pages. Norwegian students should apply via "Søknadsweb".
