Concept Symposium 2026 - Venue

Concept Symposium 2026 - Venue

The venue for the symposium is Scandic Holmenkollen Park Hotel in Oslo (c. 10 kilometres from Oslo city centre). The Hotel is 350 metres above sea level and one of Oslo and Norway's most unique hotels. The hotel overlooks the city and the Oslo Fjord, and the views are simply breathtaking. It is near the Nordmarka Forest, and it is right next to the world-famous Holmenkollen ski jumping hill.

Getting there: The hotel is located in the hills above Oslo. The easiest way to get there from Oslo Airport Gardermoen is to take the Airport Express Train to Nationaltheateret station (trains run every 10 minutes). From there,  take Metro Line 1 towards Frognerseteren, which runs every 20 minutes; after about 25 minutes, get off at Holmenkollen station and walk uphill for 7–10 minutes following signs to the hotel (the hotel's address is Kongeveien 26).  Tickets for the metro must be bought before you travel. The easiest way is to use the Ruter app (in English), where you can buy a ticket and pay by credit card or Apple/Google Pay; activate the ticket in the app before boarding. While the walk is only 750 metres long, some might find it strenuous because it is uphill.

A taxi from central Oslo takes around 15–20 minutes and costs roughly NOK 350–500, depending on traffic. There are taxi ranks at Oslo Central Station and at Nationaltheateret station.
