LAUV Fridtjof description

LAUV Fridtjof

LAUV Fridtjof is the vehicle suitable for bathymetric mapping and bottom imaging. An average person can carry and deploy it from the side of a small boat. A directional sonar in its bow enables basic collision avoidance maneuvers.

It is controlled remotely by a smartphone with the manufacturers app. Dune based mission planning simplifies the operation of this instrument. Consider allowing some time for planning, compass calibration and buoyancy control.
