Internet of Things (IoT)
Internet of Things (IoT) technology is tightly connected to the digital transformation of the society and is strongly multidisciplinary. The technology is used in a large variety of domains – moving out of traditional ICT and ranging from e-health to Industry 4.0.
The technology denotes a system embracing a network of devices that may typically contain electronics, sensors, software, machine learning, communications, and actuators, with various combinations of interaction in terms of sensing, communication, computation, and control.

IoT@NTNU is one of the strategic areas at NTNU Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering. It is coordinated by the Department of Electronic Systems.
