Honorary Doctors

The list of honorary degrees includes persons awarded their honorary degree by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and its predecessors the Norwegian Institute of Technology, (honorary degrees 1935–1967) and the University of Trondheim (honorary degrees 1968–1995).

Important scientific contribution or outstanding work for the benefit of science, or outstanding work for the benefit of art or culture, are conditions for the appointment of honorary doctors.
