Inequality, Welfare and Organization is a research group dedicated to uniting and developing disciplinary, methodological and theoretical approaches for critically investigating education, child welfare and upbringing across different societal contexts. Our research combines qualitative and quantitative approaches and organizational-, multi-level and comparative analysis. We strive for high quality projects that contribute to a deeper understanding of social inequalities in education and life chances. Our primary aim is to produce high quality and innovative research capable of informing political steps towards a more equal and sustainable welfare society.

The network includes researchers from NTNU Social Research Trondheim, CHAIN Trondheim, FAFO Oslo, NTNU University Library, The Ohio State University, University of California Berkeley California, University of Lucerne Switzerland, University of Leibniz Germany, Tampere University in Finland and University of Linköping Sweden.
