STUNTH
STUNTH – The Hospital Study on New Technology and Health
What is the STUNTH Study?
The STUNTH study (The Hospital Study – New Technology and Health) is a research study designed to track the health and working conditions of hospital employees over time. Its goal is to gain a deeper understanding of how digital transformations, such as the implementation of the new electronic health record system (Helseplattformen), affect the well-being of healthcare professionals.
The Goals of the STUNTH Study:
-
Monitor hospital employees’ health and working conditions over time
-
Increase knowledge about the use and quality of electronic health records and digital transformation in hospitals
-
Help prevent work-related health problems, sick leave, and workforce dropout
-
Support better patient care by promoting employee health
Who is behind the STUNTH study?
STUNTH is a collaboration between:
-
The R&D Unit for Health and Work in Central Norway
-
The Department of Occupational Medicine at St. Olavs Hospital
-
The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU)
Why your participation matters
With an aging population and rapid digitalization, hospitals face major challenges. To ensure high-quality healthcare in the future, we must take care of the people who provide it. That includes preventing illness and work-related issues among healthcare professionals, operational staff, and administrative employees.
We invite all employees at hospitals in Trøndelag to take part in the study – regardless of your role or whether you will use the Healseplattformen. Every function is vital for the hospital to run smoothly, and your contribution will help build healthier workplaces for the future.
Helseplattformen is a digital health platform used in Central Norway to improve the coordination and quality of healthcare services. It is a shared electronic health record system that connects hospitals, municipalities, general practitioners, and other healthcare services. It gives residents a unified view of their health information and ensures that all healthcare professionals have access to the same, up-to-date patient information, which helps streamline communication and improves patient care. Helseplattformen is designed to enhance collaboration between healthcare providers, ultimately leading to better and more efficient care for patients in the region.
